As a guest you can enjoy a great day golfing at some of Essex’s best golf clubs in the company of the Wheatsheaf golf society members. If you are not sure if you want to be a full society member, or you cannot commit to five games a year, you can start as a guest member.

What’s the difference? Members pay £15 a year and are entered in the competitions for those meetings they attend. As a guest player you will not be included in any competition but you will have a good day golfing. If you like the idea of playing some of Essex’s best courses you can start as a guest member and become a full member whenever you choose. Guests who join in the same year get membership free for that year.

If you decide to join halfway through you only pay a percentage of the membership fee depending on the number of venues left in that year. Thereafter you pay full membership fee’s for the following years.

As is our tradition all meetings consist of tea/coffee and bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a one or two course dinner followed by the Captains prize presentation. Average cost for the day is about £55-£60.
